Rainer Müller, Founder and Chairman

Rainer Müller, a graduate from the Architecture School of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, began investing in Vancouver real estate in the late 80′s.  Soon thereafter, Rainer developed his award-winning residences that integrate flawless design with functionality for residents and staff. Also an advocate for supporting the communities in which PARC residences exist, Rainer is a generous benefactor to arts and cultural initiatives through various community-based foundations and sponsorships. He also is an avid competitive sailor through the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club, and manages other business endeavours in Switzerland.

Russell Hobbs, VP Construction

Russell has been focused on building a better company for PARC Retirement Living since 2009. His role is twofold: overseeing construction and helping to operate the business as part of the executive leadership team. His education and employment has spanned from management and mining to business development. Since 2006, his career focus has been construction management, and his efforts with PARC are evident in the attractive, versatile and ‘green-friendly’ buildings.

Angie Schmidt, VP Finance

Keeping the dollars and cents in line at PARC Retirement Living requires the daily diligence of Angie Schmidt. Angie began her career in Germany, where she worked for big US-based German companies in various financial roles.  After moving to Vancouver, Angie met PARC Retirement Living owner and fellow sailing enthusiast Rainer Müller, while out boating with friends. A year later, she began her career here as Finance Manager and is now VP Finance for the company.

Louisa Flinn, VP Sales & Marketing

Through her career in marketing, Louisa has directed the brand and marketing efforts for large corporations like Rogers Video, BCAA and Island Savings Credit Union. Louisa joined PARC Retirement Living in 2013 as Director of Sales and Marketing, with a role to grow and develop the brand, guide the sales team and nurture relationships with the residents. Louisa is also a personal trainer, fitness instructor and active volunteer.

Hilary Statton, Director Human Resources & Operations

Hilary is a certified human resources professional and a member of the BCHRMA (human resources management association).
She brings 15 plus years of experience in Human Resources involving education, recruitment, IT and accounting. Throughout her career, she has gravitated toward customer-centric organizations.
Hilary has always been passionate about maximizing the “people power” to gain results, and sees a distinct correlation between this passion and fostering a better quality of life for residents at PARC Retirement Living.

Julia Yuen, Manager Operations

Julia brings over 20 years of sales and marketing expertise to PARC. Having spent the last year at Mulberry PARC gaining invaluable insight on our residents’ needs, she employed her business development skills and marketing savviness. She now applies that knowledge to her operational role, establishing standards and creating efficiencies, with an ever-present focus on ensuring that PARC residents enjoy best-in-class retirement living.
