June Morris, General Manager
June has lived in North Vancouver since 1973. She is an RN and BSN, with specialties in Gerontology, Occupational Health and Psychiatric Nursing. She began her career with senior adults in 1987 and has held a variety of positions including Day Nurse and Director of Care for Retirement Residences. When Rainer, the company’s owner, approached June to join the group in 2008, June happily accepted, excited to be part of such an enthusiastic, passionate team.
Marcel Lacasse, Sales Manager
Marcel Lacasse comes to Summerhill PARC from Westerleigh PARC, where he spent two years helping the new residence gain full occupancy. He has an extensive background in sales and hospitality. This, and his volunteer work with seniors, led him to his current career. Marcel is always enthusiastic about working with the residents and their families. His goal is to ease the transition of moving and to provide a happy beginning to this new stage of life.
Danya Nonis, Active Living Manager
Danya comes to Summerhill PARC with a background in recreation & events and has a passion for working with others. She is an active living advocate and looks forward to facilitating and promoting activities and sharing her fitness & yoga training.
Heather Tubman, Resident Services Manager
Heather’s courses in family studies, gerontology and health administration led to her career in retirement communities and taught her much about the independent living and assisted living industries. She joined PARC in late 2012 to help with the launch of PARC’s newest residence, Westerleigh PARC, and then transferred over to Summerhill PARC in resident services as Resident Service Manager.
Tom Carpenter, Building Service Manager
Tom has more than 18 years of experience with physical plant and building services management in retirement residences. He has all the know how and foresight he needs, as well as a deep tool box to keep Summerhill PARC operating in tip top shape.
Susan Sollis, RN BSN – Wellness Nurse
Susan joins PARC Retirement Living to serve as the Wellness Nurse for Summerhill PARC. She comes to us from Hollyburn House, where she spent the past 11 years assisting residents with their health requirements. Susan has a great depth of knowledge and experience, as well as a comforting and approachable persona, which enables her to effectively assist you in acquiring the health services you need.
Bob Fortin, Executive Chef
Chef Bob is originally from St. Catharines, Ontario and completed his culinary training at Niagara College of Applied Arts and Technology. His career has taken him to various hotels and restaurants including the Chateau Laurier Hotel in Ottawa, Vancouver’s Waterfront Centre, the Westin Bayshore and the Teahouse in Stanley Park. Bob began to work in seniors dining over 10 years ago. He enjoys cooking up a great summer BBQ and is an avid sports fan. In his spare time Bob is an avid golfer – he can’t wait to tee off with the PARC Team at next year’s golf tournaments.
