Ray Millar has had a lot of interesting jobs throughout his career, but he keeps coming back to what he loves best: working with seniors. Since joining PARC as a Roaming Maintenance Technician in 2023, Ray has worked his way up to Building Services Manager thanks to two decades’ worth of hands-on experience and a knack for troubleshooting problems and creating practical and effective solutions. And his role is crucial: he ensures our buildings are expertly maintained, so that our residents can fully enjoy their home and community.

Known for rolling up his sleeves and leading by example, Ray is passionate about mentoring his team, streamlining operations and sharing knowledge he’s gained through a wide variety of certifications, including training in aircraft maintenance, health care management and leadership. He served as a Cadet Officer for a decade, achieving the rank of Lieutenant, and has also trained as an Auxiliary RCMP in Surrey. Ray also ran two small businesses before returning to his roots in building services.

In his role at PARC, Ray now uses his skills, training and expertise to lead a small team and share his hard-won knowledge. He finds deep purpose in supporting residents and contributing to PARC’s mission, and he’s proud to be part of an organization that backs its values with action.
