Growing up in Coquitlam, Ben first learned his passion for Food & Beverage through working at his father’s restaurant, La Brochette in Gastown. Following high school graduation, Ben moved to Switzerland to hone his skills, where he completed a 3-year culinary apprenticeship at the Hotel Bern. Ben expanded his career at The Waldorf Hilton, London, then eventually returned to Vancouver and joined the culinary team at the Westin Bayshore. In 2006, he moved to California and took on the role of Executive Chef at JW Marriott San Francisco Union Square. Ben came back to Vancouver in 2017 as Executive Chef for the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Hotel. Ben’s extensive experience in hospitality and culinary arts make him a perfect fit for Chef de Cuisine at Westerleigh PARC, ensuring our residents enjoy an exceptional dining experience.
Ben loves to travel and discover new cuisines and cultures. Outside of work, he likes to play golf and hockey. He also enjoys relaxing at home in Coquitlam, and tending to his organic vegetable garden.
